CITY BEACH CELLAR

BACKSTORY:

Having recently purchased a new City Beach home, the owners this property reached out to us about designing a special new room.  A wine cellar with a difference to enjoy with family and friends.

Our brief was to re-create the sparse subterranean space, previously used as a gym, as a destination within the home. Make it a warm inviting space that would serve as a new destination for entertaining, relaxation and reward at the end of the day. Leave pride of place for the owner’s prize custom-made Oscar Award replicas, space for a tv screen and plenty of storage for wine.

We focused on making the space feel warm. Choosing the right colour, taking away boundaries within the room, leaving the space feel larger, warmer and inviting.  By allocating half of the room to the gloriously oversized comfortable U shape sofa, the owners now have a destination to share.

This property is a 2 level large home, which was built in the early 2000’s.

• Manufacture and supply of custom made upholstery to perfectly fit the room.
• Additional furnishing consultation to find the finishing accessories to complete the look.
